Upgrading from Windows 7 Beta to RC Build

Now that the RC build is official from Microsoft, users can start downloading the latest RC build 7100 and install it. Microsoft recommends user to do a fresh install even if you have installed the beta version of Windows 7 released in Jan 2009. But it is also possible to upgrade from beta build to RC build using a simple hack. If you want to upgrade from beta to RC, you will need to bypass the check for pre-release as mentioned in the Windows 7 blog.

Steps to upgrade from Beta to RC;

1. Download the ISO and burn the ISO to a DVD.
2. Copy the whole image to a storage location you wish to run the upgrade from (a bootable flash drive or a directory on any partition on the machine running the pre-release build).
3. Browse to the sources directory.
4. Open the file cversion.ini in a text editor like Notepad.
5. Modify the MinClient build number to a value lower than the down-level build. You need to change the value to 7000 as it is the beta version build number.
6. Save the file in place with the same name.
7. Run setup like you would normally from this modified copy of the image and the version check will be bypassed.

With this change, you can upgrade from the beta version to the RC build.

If your kids’ grades are not improving but falling tremendously, maybe you should consider having them to spend lesser time on the world’s most popular platform - Facebook. According to a new study conducted by Ohio State University, it says that those students who use Facebook frequently will tend to spend less time on their schoolwork, hence resulting in lower grades. It seems that these young kids aren’t admitting the truth as the study noted that more than three-quarters of Facebook users claimed that their use of the social networking site didn’t interfere with their studies. This two statements are so contradicting.

“We can’t say that use of Facebook leads to lower grades and less studying – but we did find a relationship there,” said Aryn Karpinski, co-author of the study and a doctoral student in education at Ohio State University. Additional information includes Facebook users had GPAs a full grade lower than non-users. Facebook users also studied on average one to five hours a week, compared to 11 to 15 hours for non-users.

Surveying 219 students at Ohio State, including 102 undergraduate students and 117 graduate students, 148 of the participants commented that they had a Facebook account. Also, the study found that 85 percent of undergraduates were Facebook users, while only 52 percent of graduate students had accounts. Science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and business majors were more likely to use Facebook than were students majoring in the humanities and social sciences.

Well, the irony with the result of this study is that Mark Zukerberg and his fellow computer science major students founded Facebook while he was a student at Harvard University and it was meant for students to connect and interact with one another online. On the other hand, the study claimed that using Facebook are bad for the brain, especially for kids. Probably the main reason is because it’s too addictive due to its wonderful and interesting features such as “poking” their friends, posting photos and even playing games on the social platform.

Currently, there are 200 million users worldwide who have signed up for Facebook and the bulk comes from United States. The main demographic still lies within the 30+ age group and kids under 18 doesn’t make up a huge percentage of the entire population.

Now i am going to get myself my own custom domain with wordpress. After about an year of blogging with blogger i found that there are few features available in blogger where as in wordpress we can modify our blog in the way we want.

Lots of plugins and themes mixed together with professional design and features makes blogging more interesting. Now i am looking for awesome wordpress theme and some plugins and within a few weeks i will be having my own domain.

Ubuntu 9.04 as competition to Windows 7, Mac OS X

Here's what the official press release won't tell you about Ubuntu 9.04, which formally hit the streets overnight: its designers have polished the hell out of its user interface since the last release in October.

So much so, in fact, that I am starting to prefer using my Ubuntu "Jaunty Jackalope" desktop over the similarly slick Windows 7 beta (which I am currently running full-time on one desktop) and Mac OS X Leopard operating systems, which I also use regularly.

I left Windows Vista, XP, and even Debian lying bruised and battered by the roadside some time ago.

You won't be able to notice the vast improvement in Ubuntu's desktop experience over the past six months by browsing screenshot galleries of 9.04 or looking at new feature lists. What I'm talking about is that elusive slick-and-speedy feel you get from applications launching fast, windows moving around without jerkiness, and everything simply being where it should be in the user interface.

Launching and using Firefox on Ubuntu 8.10 on my 2GHz Core 2 Duo-based machine with 2GB of RAM, a 7200rpm hard disk, and an Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS always seemed to feel like I was going back a few years, to a time when Web browsers were not considered something you always had open to service Web applications like Gmail and Bloglines.

It was the same with Windows Vista.
In short, Ubuntu is now as slick and beautiful as Mac OS X or Windows 7.

Now, just like Microsoft has taken the blowtorch to Vista to produce the lightning-quick Windows 7, which so far runs well, even on older hardware, Ubuntu has picked up its own game.

I particularly noticed the Ubuntu difference when I put the operating system to the test by simultaneously launching and using multiple applications, listening to music and more while using my spare CPU cycles in the background to encode high-definition video with Mencoder. Ubuntu still felt very fast--even with traditionally sluggy pieces of software like OpenOffice.org.

It's not just the speed changes, however, that has got me excited about Ubuntu 9.04. It's also the subtle additions to the interface; the logical move of shutdown and reboot options to the far right of the menu; the slick new notifications system; the seamless (finally!) integration of the Nvidia accelerated drivers, and the cleaned-up options and package install systems.

Want Adobe Flash or other proprietary software like multimedia codecs on Ubuntu? Just search for them in the one location, under their own names. No downloading anything from any Web sites. No package management or dependencies. No apt-get. Point and click.

I'm not a Linux novice (in fact, I'm a former Linux and FreeBSD systems administrator), and I've been using Linux on the desktop since the late 1990s. I usually run a combination of Ubuntu and Windows on my PC, and the latest Mac OS X on my laptop.

So I'm in a position to notice step changes in user interface behavior like the one that Ubuntu has brought to the table with 9.04. In short, Ubuntu is now as slick and beautiful as Mac OS X or Windows 7.

As we've noted in earlier articles, Microsoft has also brought its best to the table with Windows 7. However, it's a pity that Apple didn't seem to do so with Leopard. Like some reviewers, I felt that Steve Jobs' latest operating-system opus added a lot of new features, but also some unfortunate erratic behavior that muddied Mac OS X's position as a user interface leader.

As the magazine Macworld has noted, the new Stacks feature in Leopard's Dock is a "mess" and replaced the formerly utilitarian approach to keeping folders in the Dock with a "snazzy but generally less useful pop-up window."

The new "Spaces" feature in Leopard is nothing new; it provides multiple virtual-desktop workspaces, which Unix has had for decades; but I found Apple's implementation erratic.

Then, too, there was the speed price some users paid in Leopard for all the upgrade, though that could just be the older-hardware penalty. On my 1.5GHz G4 laptop with 1280MB of RAM, Leopard runs sluggishly, whereas Tiger runs like a dream. As I don't use any of the new features, the upgrade seemed worthless.

When you consider Microsoft's remarkable rebirth with Windows 7 and the fact that Ubuntu is free, open source, and runs on anything, you would have to wonder what sort of rabbit Steve Jobs will have to pull out of his hat with Snow Leopard to keep growing Mac OS X's share. Sure, there are some apps missing on Linux (say, Photoshop). But the same can be said of Mac OS X in certain areas, and VMware and CrossOver solve a lot of problems.

Looking back to the genesis of Ubuntu 9.04 six months ago, I suspect that its subtle but powerful changes are due to the new user interface team that Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth said at the time he would put in place. If so, that team has already earned its paychecks and even more, and we're looking forward to seeing what another six months of development will produce.

In the meantime, kudos to Ubuntu 9.04: you got game.

Now Track Locations With Google latitude

Google Latitude is a free application that brings location tracking to your mobile phone even without GPS. That means if you are travelling with a mobile phone that has Google Latitude installed, your family members and friends can track your exact location on Google Maps through any Internet connected computer.

The software is currently available for most BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Nokia S60 phones though an iPhone version of Latitude is still in the works - you can visit google.com/latitude from your mobile browser to know if Latitude is supported on your phone on not.

Google Latitude Tips & Tricks

Tip #1. You don’t want a stranger to know that you are inside a bank’s ATM so make sure that you don’t approve every incoming friend request on Latitude even if the request has come from a person who is listed as a contact in your email address book. Only family members and close friends should be part of your Google Latitude network.

Tip #2. Google Latitude determines your current location using the nearby cell phone towers. If, for some reason, Latitude is unable to detect your exact location, you can set it manually on your phone.

Tip #3. Google Latitude is a data intensive application and I don’t really recommend it if you have a pay-per-byte data plan on your phone.

Tip #4. You don’t need a mobile phone to broadcast your current location via Latitude. If you have a web browser with Google Gears and you’re inside a Wi-Fi zone, Latitude can still detect and update your location on the Internet using the GeoLocation API.

Tip #5. If you are travelling with a laptop and there’re no wireless access points nearby, you can manually update your location on Latitude though this iGoogle Gadget.

Tip #6. Google Latitude can drain the battery of your phone more quickly as the application attempts to update your location as you move around. Please keep point this in mind if your phone battery is low.

Tip #7. Entering a pub but don’t want mom to know about it? Make sure you either hide the location in Latitude or set it manually to a different place.

Tip #8. Google Latitude won’t work inside an airplane so prior to boarding the aircraft, you can set your status in Google Latitude to something like "Boarded flight American Airlines 4815 to New York - On time - ETA 5:30 PM." You can now switch off the mobile phone but your Latitude status will help family members who are planning to receive you at the airport.

Tip #9. Google Latitude can bring some piece of mind. For example, if your kids have just joined kindergarten, you can mute the ringer of your mobile phone and drop it somewhere inside their school bag. This will help you keep track of the school bus and you’ll always know where your children are.

The only piece missing here is a Google Latitude API - that means you can’t update your current location on Google Maps from external apps like Twitter or Facebook.

Airtel 16 Mbps wireline broadband launched

Bharti Airtel has launched a 16 Mbps wireline broadband connection in the country.

The company plans to launch the Airtel 16Mbps wireline broadband in Delhi, Chennai, and Bangaluru in the first phase of the roll out. Later, it will extend the 16 Mbps wireline broadband to other cities like Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.

Airtel claims that it is the fastest wireline broadband on digital subscriber loop (DSL) in India. The Digital Subscriber Loop (DSL) technology provides digital data transmission over the wires of a local telephone network.

The Airtel 16 Mbps broadband service is powered by Airtel’s carrier ethernet network. The last mile delivery is on copper using ADSL2+ technology.

Airtel has said that the technology enables ultra high-speed broadband that is scalable and affordable.

Airtel Telemedia Services joint president K. Srinivas said, “We are the leading private broadband service provider in the country and pioneered 8 Mbps broadband. It gives us great pleasure now to be able to introduce the fastest, wired broadband service on DSL.”

“We will be able to offer 16 Mbps broadband to 70 percent of the households in Delhi and NCR (national capital region), Chennai and Bangalore,” he added.

Currently, two tariff plans are being offered by the company for its 16 Mbps broadband at Rs 2,999 and Rs 4,999. The data transfer limit under the Speed Combo 2999 is 20 GB, while that in the Speed Combo 4999 is 50 GB.

The Speed Combo 2999 and Speed Combo 4999 plans offer a fixed line connection too.

Airtel provides broadband connections in over 95 cities across the country, and has nearly 9.92 lakh broadband customers as on December 31, 2008.

In March 2009, Tata Teleservices has announced a 100Mbps broadband access, priced at Rs 10000 per month.

There is good news for those who use Internet Explorer browser. Microsoft has announced that Internet Explorer 8 has been released.

Internet Explorer 8 has been completed with the features that are not available in the previous versions:

* Map directions
* Search suggestions
* and More …

The final release of the browser comes almost two months after the release of the RC1, which we had previewed back in January. While the feature set is expected to remain similar to the existing RC1 (which is still available for download as of now), the final version is expected to have ironed out all bugs and issues that is expected of a final release. It will be released in as many as 25 languages.

With the IE8, Microsoft aims to lure users away from advanced users who had migrated to more "secure" and feature-packed browsers. IE has been steadily losing its once unassailable market lead to the likes of Firefox from Mozilla and more recently, Google Chrome, which had more features and were touted to be more secure than the erstwhile editions of IE. Even now, a large chunk of Internet users still use IE6, which is two generations old now and for the same reason, is an obsolete browser.

Microsoft has devoted close to a year developing the IE8 which is obviously the most secure version of the browser ever. In fact, a commissioned report by Microsoft had placed the RC1 at the number one spot in detecting malware and suspicious content. The research was conducted by NSS labs and they had included the likes of Firefox (3.07), Apple Safari 3 and Google Chrome in the study.

Microsoft will eventually start pushing the browser through automatic updates. For those who can't wait, it is expected to be available for download starting 21:30 hours India time today from the Internet Explorer homepage.

We will of course be taking a closer look at it a soon as we get our hands dirty - but we're not expecting something radically different from the RC1!

I’ve realized that rather than who follows you or how many people follow you, its important to know whom you are following and how active they are.

Making The Most Out Of Adsense

Making money online is far easier than you may think. Here is my top tips for making the most our of adsense.

1. Be realistic with your expectations. Google has close to half a billion dollars sitting on it's balance sheet, which is effectively made up of webmaster's
money, where they haven't made enough to make the minimum cheque payment.

2. Be realistic with your expectations. Sure, there are people out there making a heap of money with Adsense, but they have a heap of web-sites and a heap of traffic. Don't be fooled with statements how you can make a million dollars overnight.

3. Be realistic with your expectations (ok, enough, I hope you've got the message). Typical, across the board earnings, for a page with an Adsense ad on, not targeting high end earnings, is around $0.005 per page view. Let me repeat, yep, every time your page gets viewed and assuming your CTR (Click Thru Rate) is anywhere near normal, then you can expect to earn around HALF of one cent. Don't believe me? Then why not ask Google. To quote from the Google Adsense site: "From a publisher's perspective, the effective cost-per-thousand impressions (eCPM) is a useful way to compare revenue across different channels and advertising programs. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands. For example, if a publisher earned $180 from 45,000 impressions, the eCPM would equal $180/45, or $4.00. However, please keep in mind that eCPM is a reporting feature that does not represent the actual amount paid to a publisher.

4. Figure out how much you want to make from Adsense and then figure how many impressions you're going to need and then figure out how you are going to get those impressions. For example, let's say you want to earn $100 per day from Adsense. Based on $5.00/1000 impressions then that equates to 20,000 impressions PER DAY. All quite achievable and doable (probably not in left handed basket weaving) but you need to align your expectation with realistic targets.

5. Once you have a few thousand impressions happening, test and test and test again. The main things to change and test are the number, size and position of ads, and the colors of the font. There are some guidelines that suggest that the 336*280 works best, but my experience tells me that this isn't the case for every web-site. Best thing to do is to change ONE thing, then wait for 1000 impressions and if results have improved, keep the change, if no improvement, then revert back and try something else.

6. Always use the channel codes when creating ads. This is essential if you want to track where your earnings are coming from. I also use it as a quick stat counter when I'm building new sites. When creating my codes I also include the layout for example 728*90 AGOP BOTTOM to me means the large banner ad at the bottom of the page on A Gift Of Poetry

7. If you are just testing a whole page layout, you can use the same channel code for different sized ads.

8. You can now put a lot of Google ads on one page. To max a page out, you can have Two text ads, THREE normal ads and THREE referral ads AND Two search boxes. That's a lot of ads and I wouldn't recommend it. For example, the Google search box is a waste of valuable territory . Again, test and test to find best combinations that work for you and your site.

9. The world of the hyperlink is blue and it is not the blue that Google defaults the ads to. For the record, the normal hyperlink blue is 0000FF, why not change to that and test the results? {HINT}

10. I have a few strategies when it comes to Adsense. On some sites, I don't have it at all. On others, I create a 'visual ad road block' where the visitor has to scroll through a screen of ads to get to the content and thirdly, on other sites, I take care to blend the ads in with the content. To be honest, all three strategies work and if you haven't got the message by now, you should have, because you need to TEST to find out which works best. My final note of caution, don't spend ALL your time testing, you're probably only getting paid $0.005 per page impression.

11. When you do achieve some reasonable page impressions then it is worth using the alternate ad option that Google gives you. You will be pleasantly surprised (or horrified) how many times your back up ad will get shown.

Get information about an IP address

For those of you who aren’t familiar with computers, IP address are a numerical identification that is assigned to devices on a computer network. Each IP address is unique, hence we can easily gain much information from just an IP address. As such, the role of the IP address has been characterized as follows: “A name indicates what we seek. An address indicates where it is. A route indicates how to get there.”
Check Location from IP Address
Now, with the right tools, we can pinpoint the origin of the computer with the particular IP address to a place on the map. However, the data achieved may not always be correct. This is due to the existence of dynamic IPs. These temporary IP addresses are recycled among other computers of the same ISP, hence the geographical readings achieved from these websites will most likely be the locations of the past owners of the same IP address.

One such solution to identify the geographical location of a specific IP address has been IP2Location. This Malaysian-based Internet R&D company based in Penang enables end-users to detect the country, region, city, latitude, longitude, ZIP code, ISP, domain name, timezone, connection speed, IDD code, area code, weather station code, and weather station name by using merely an IP address. It uses the IP2Location .BIN database as an internal lookup reference and does not require an external network connection. IP2Location Application is available in several platforms such as Windows (GUI or command line) or Linux/Unix (Perl). Following such success and popularity, many similar websites have sprung up, with each claiming to offer a higher accuracy than the latter.

1. IpLocator

This completely free localization service has been fairly accurate from my experience of using it. I have been using this service for almost a year and about 70-80% of the time, the results are always correct. It also provides interesting information about the location found, such as the population, the time zone, the distance to nearby cities and so on.

2. Geolocation

Geolocation by Ipligence is a free service but the end user is only limited to 50 search queries per day, which should be enough for the average user. This was the only website that managed to correctly query my current location based on my IP address at time of writing. Still, I’ve never used it much so I can’t really say for sure what the accuracy rate is like.

3. Syszilla’s Whois Lookup

Syszilla’s Whois Lookup basically query’s the target IP address to [URL="http://www.ripe.net/"]RIPE’s[/URL] database. The inclusion of Google Maps serves to literally paint a better picture of the users location. However, out of 3 tests, all using different IP’s, it wasn’t able to detect my location accurately.

4. Geo-IP

Geo-IP is rather simplistic with minimum information. It also did not fare too well, failing to detect my geographical location on all three counts using different IPs.

5. IpGeoInfo

IpGeoInfo has a simple barebones page layout, but still contains some useful information, which is only useful if it gets your location spot on. You can also query host names which are automatically converted into IP addresses.

6. IP2Location

Although it’s products are mainly shareware, you can input a test IP address on the right side of the page for a demo. I’m not sure how many times you are allowed to do so, but according to what I’ve tested, IP2Location managed to detect my location.

Obviously, these services aren’t very accurate, but at least they provide a rough guide of showing where the location of the target pc. Nonetheless, I’d say that IP2Location is the best of them all, as it does it’s job well most of the time. So, do you know any similar free sites or programs offering the same services? StumbleUpon goes back to its founders

The founders of StumbleUpon have bought it back from eBay. Two years after Stumble founders Garrett Camp and Geoff Smith cashed out and handed stumbleupon over to ebay, they've come back with a team of investors and bought StumbleUpon back from eBay. It's pretty exciting.

In the company’s blog post it has been said,

After nearly two years as a subsidiary of eBay, today StumbleUpon returns to being an independent company. StumbleUpon is now backed by myself and co-founder Geoff Smith, along with several great investors who’ve backed companies such as Google and Facebook.

StumbleUpon had hit 7 million registered users last year, which was at the time 50% higher than the number of Twitter's users. Twitter's users have dramatically increased this year though.

Both Twitter and StumbleUpon, though, are tools of discovery, sharing and social connection. They are different in some ways but similar in others. There's a special kind of magic to StumbleUpon, though, and we're very glad to see its founders back in the driver's seat. A web where Twitter and Facebook are the only social discovery games in town is a poorer web.

In the company’s blog post it is further said that:

This change will help StumbleUpon move quickly and stay true to its focus - helping people discover interesting web content. Our goal is to make StumbleUpon the web’s largest recommendation engine and we think this is the best way to get us there.

Samsung Omnia a small review

Samsung Omnia is now available in my country. I searched a review about the Omnia over internet and Engadgets comes with good review.
No longer does Windows Mobile alone a capable smartphone make. The platform's core is as relevant, powerful, and well-supported as ever, but that's not the problem -- the real issue is that it's just plain hard to look at. The days of WinMo looking even remotely modern in its stock form are long gone, and top-tier manufacturers clearly recognize that; everyone from ASUS to HTC has taken matters into their own hands to craft custom skins that kill off as many of the ancient visuals as possible while still holding onto everything that makes Windows Mobile great.

Enter the Samsung i900 Omnia, a phone that submits to design direction forced upon the industry largely by the iPhone -- full touchscreen, no keyboard, you know the drill by now -- and does pretty much everything in its power to overcome WinMo's limitations to make it competitive in the year 2008. Did Sammy succeed? Read on.

On paper, the Omnia sounds like a smartphone dream: 7.2Mbps HSDPA 2100, quadband EDGE, 5 megapixel autofocus camera, 3.2-inch capacitive WQVGA touchscreen, GPS, Windows Mobile 6.1, WiFi, and 8 or 16GB of Flash with microSD expansion, all wrapped in a tight little brushed metal case. One glance at the carbon fiber-look case tells you that Samsung is trying to position this thing as a premium product, and there's no question it has the specs to back up the claim.

Unfortunately, the phone has to get slapped with the usual word of warning that you won't be able to latch onto any 3G in North America, because Samsung (in its infinite wisdom) saw fit to forgo a triband 3G chipset. These days, we're not buying any justification for this, particularly in a phone that sits this far up into the high end. Want to sell this only to your European customer base? That's fine, Samsung, but many of those folks are going to be traveling stateside on occasion, and they're going to want fast data when they do. Radio gripes aside, we had no problem latching onto our relic of an EDGE network and going about our slow-ass business.

Amitabh Bachchan was the first to be waxed and then he was followed by Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai (now Aishwarya Bachchan) and Salman Khan. In this tutorial,I will be using Firefox on Gentoo Linux , but it its applicable to all distributions of linux.

Step One: Setting Up the Tunnel

All common Linux distributions come with openssh packages. To check whether you have ssh installed already type the command "which ssh". Gentoo has opensh package preinstalled,so no tension :)
First we need to SSH to the server that we want to tunnel through, open up terminal and type the following command

ssh -ND @

Replace with a port number of your choice; This will be the LOCAL port which Firefox will use to tunnel the traffic later on…Try to choose a high and random port number so as nobody scans or sneaks them in (system admin and firewalls)
Practical Example:

ssh -ND 2945 rishabh.cs07@sviet.ac.in

Now enter your password as usual, and it will hang after authentication, which is perfectly normal as it isn’t an interactive session- Now minimize the terminal and open Firefox.

Step Two: Configuring Firefox

In Firefox, Go to (Depending upon which version you are using)

preferences -> advanced -> Network -> connection settings
or
Tools –> options –> Advanced –> Network –> settings

A new window should appear,select the “Manual Proxy Configuration” option, you’ll need to type some information in the ‘SOCKS Host’ section.

Host: localhost
Port: Port you used in the SSH command earlier.

Save your changes..Just to make sure it worked, check your IP with an online IP checker :)

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

Burnout Paradise is the first Burnout game for the PC. Always heralded as a great arcade racing game with emphasis on extremely graphic car crashes and luridicious speed, this time the gameplay moves to a "sandbox" model while retaining most of the key features that made earlier Burnout titles so much fun on the consoles. Welcome to Paradise City!

So, racing around a city is the name of the game. Streets, roads and highways of Paradise City have been meticulously designed to support high speed racing - T-intersections and sharp turns are exceedingly rare and everywhere you can find shortcuts and alternate routes. At first the idea of high speed racing in a city environment sounds silly, but somehow the game world of Burnout Paradise manages to pull it off in flying colors without looking too unnatural.

The only remarkable bit of corner-cutting is the lack of pedestrians or drivers. Supposedly this is due to the fact that there would be no way to get the "E10+" rating for the game if Criterion had included GTA-style maiming of pedestrians or realistic ragdoll drivers in the spirit of Flatout. Both are omissions, but fortunately neither really harms the game as the racing gameplay really needs neither of these features - and the vehicle carnage is so detailed that it more than makes up for it.

Racing City

As you roam the streets and roads of Paradise City, you can participate in numerous events - just about every intersection is a starting line for an event. Events include Race, Road Rage, Marked Man, Stunt Run and Burning Route. Each offers a different twist on racing.

Burning rubber in the city streets at ridiculous speed.

Race is just that - normal racing across the city the finish line, with "anything goes" as the rulebook. Pick your own route and feel free to bump your opponents into suitable concrete barriers.
Stunt Run is all about racking up massive scores by chaining boosts and drifts with different jumps in a limited time with the whole city is your play area.
Marked Man is a survival race of sorts - reach the finish line before your opponents trash your car completely. Pick your own route and feel free to pre-emptively tackle the opposition.
Road Rage is all about takedowns - bumping the competition against barriers or oncoming traffic before the time runs out or your car is completely wrecked.
Burning Route is pure time trial mode, with specific routes for each car type in the game - with upgraded version of the car as reward for completing the event.

Accumulate wins to upgrade your license and to unlock new cars - most of which you have to then acquire by taking one down so the wreck can be delivered to the junkyard for you to re-use.

Unfortunately there is are no separate Crash events. Crash mode was the really fun part of previous Burnout titles but it's been shelved for Burnout Paradise. Instead you can compete in setting a crash record for each road of the city in somewhat similar Showtime mode. Sadly it's a quite disappointing affair - you get to bounce a wreck around while trying to hit as many other vehicles as possible, raking up damage and multipliers in "crashes" lasting up to several minutes. No special tactics related to the layout of a special crash junction or anything like that - just mindless carnage.

Cars deform with great detail in crashes.

Burnout Paradise Billboards - Gotta Smash Em All!

In addition to the Showtime mode, you can complete numerous other objectives in the "free driving" mode of the game. Each road has a best time to beat and the city is littered with "smash" objectives - yellow gates fencing off shortcuts and "Burnout Paradise" billboards strategically placed for the player to smash through. Goal is to smash every unique gate and billboard across the city.

Normally when we have to transform some data which is visible on monitor to image format we use print screen button, after copying we paste it in Ms Paint and then edit that image using Ms paint which provides very few features and options.

But now you can edit Any image directly after pressing print screen button with numerous features like adding arrows, text just like we add in photoshop. One more feature that is unique about this software is that you can copy the whole webpage with scroller at a time, instead of copying it in fragments.

Through this software you choose whether you want to copy the whole page or only a particular part of screen. if you want to copy a particular part of screen then just press print screen button and crop that area.

How to add your blog’s sitemap to google ?

Last week one of my friends asked me how to add blog’s site map to Google, i told him but the i thought many other bloggers might need to know how to add site map to Google or other search engines.

Site map is nothing but a representation of the architecture of a web site. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

Adding sitemap to search engines like Google or Yahoo help you to generate traffic as it adds your recent posts to the directory of these search engines.

Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all the pages can be found. This is especially important if a site uses Adobe Flash or JavaScript menus that do not include HTML links.

Now if you want to add your sitemap to Google, then just go to Google webmaster tools and the put your blog’s address in the provided space and click on “Add Site” button. Then follow the procedure and then on the sidebar click on sitemap link. There your blog’s link would be written and then paste this fragment of code ….”rss.xml” or “feeds/posts/default?=rss” and click on submit site map. It will take some time but your blog will be placed in google directory and your posts will be included in the directory.

This is only for blogger fro wordpress there is a plugin named WordPress site map generator.
